About this Talk

We all want to use products that are created with "us" in mind. Join me in a live session to learn to make a basic lotion from scratch at home.

How do you formulate a basic lotion? What equipment do you need? What oils, butters, ingredients and preservatives are needed? Good manufacturing practices will be reviewed as well as how to label according to FDA requirements, if you are thinking about selling it.

So join me as I take you through the process of making lotion at home and get an easy to follow process to do it yourself!

I am a maker. I started this journey in 2011, when I was diagnosed with food intolerances. The road to making handcrafted soap, bath and body products using natural ingredients that are local to WV, but can be found around the world, has lead to where we are now. I am proud to farm and harvest what I can but also teach locally on how to make! I’ve attended a few conferences and gatherings, but I seek out opportunities to learn from when and wherever I can.
